Hi guys! Welcome to EightEighteen’s FAQ page.

Although, I try to respond to messages within the hour, sometimes the days are busier than others and i’m not able to devote my attention to our inbox.

Because I’m a full time stay at home mama/full time business owner, I can only respond to messages during certain time frames.

Currently I am prioritizing my messages between 10 am - 2 pm and then occasionally after 10 pm.

If you’re looking for an answer during a time that I have not blocked off for responding to messages, I’ve made this awesome FAQ page to hopefully help you out! ♥

Are you a professional photographer?

I sure am! I began my journey as a self taught photographer when I was 18 (almost 10 years ago! Where does the time go?!), but I began photographing clients in 2012. I decided to devote my life to being a full time photographer as my only income at the end of 2018.

I am also a licensed, insured, and taxed business.

What do you photograph?

I specialize in Motherhood photography.

Which is a genre of photography that is focused around mothers. This includes: Announcing pregnancy, Maternity, Birth, Fresh 48 (lifestyle newborn portraits) and Studio Newborn.

Along with milestone for your little babe: 3, 6, 9 month old portraits, 1st year cake smash, etc

However, while motherhood is my specialty .. I, of course, photograph a high volume of families, couples, models, boudoir, and weddings ♥

How do I book?

You can begin your payment plan for your session at any point in time here.

You’re more than welcome to buy now and then reach out to book later. Otherwise, please use the contact form on the home page to choose a date before booking.

Where are you located and will you travel?

I personally live in stunning Charlottesville, Virginia.

However, I was raised in Madison County, Virginia - where my studio is located (1490 N Main Street)

I LOVE to travel. I am currently typically traveling within 1.5 hours of my home to get to my clients (sometimes further)

What locations do you use?

I shoot in a ton of places including but not limited to locations in: Criglersville, Madison, Charlottesville, Culpeper, Crozet, and Scottsville

I also highly encourage clients consider the thought of photographing within their homes, on their own property, or a family property that they hold close to their heart - doing so makes your portraits that more special.

When will I receive my gallery?

Proof galleries are sent off within 72 hours - 1 week of our session date. The final gallery will be ready within 1-2 weeks of the date you chose your final images.

How do I receive my gallery?

Galleries are sent via email through PassGallery. I use the same email client’s use for their payment.

Can you Photoshop that?

Absolutely! Any blemishes, bruises, scratches, redness, stains, wrinkles, bra straps, fly aways, etc can all be removed with the help of Photoshop! When choosing your final images, please just let me know what you’d like removed and I’ll be sure to take care of that.

What should I bring with me to our shoot?

Although, I discourage the use of props .. sometimes they’re the perfect touch! If something means something to you, please don’t hesitate to bring it.
